How to Post with Blogger's Block - Beauty Blogger

I sat down at my laptop this morning, took a long look at my screen and realised that I didn't have any products I wanted to write about. I mean I have been using products still - obviously - but none of them are super exciting you know? They fulfil their purpose but they aren't so exciting I want to review them you know?

So what do you do when you don't have anything to review?

  1. Write a wishlist - as beauty bloggers there is always something we are lusting over, so post about it.
  2. Post about part of your routine - it can be morning, evening, makeup, skincare, hair care whatever. It could even be what you do when you check your makeup in the bathrooms at work.

Sundy Post: Powerchair football, Pain & Posting

I actually had to take the saturation of the yellow down on this picture & it still looks ridiculous....

This week I barely went out, I didn't get my chair back until the end of the week. I went out to ASDAs yesterday to check it worked but that's it. I have Powerchair Football matches today so I've kind of been saving my energy for it....
That's what the shirt is - the horribly ugly mustard & blue striped shirt. It's my football shirt. I would seriously swap teams with anyone who had a better football shirt.

I've been in a lot of pain this week, kind of randomly.

Wheelchair Fashion: Not quite a Cowgirl

I honestly hadn't realised the 'cowgirl' aspect of this outfit until I was asking for help naming this look (I ALWAYS need help naming looks) & my brother pointed it out.
This look actually came about because I have been OBSESSED with lavender recently but I only have two lavender items in my wardrobe, one of which is this shirt that is WAY too big for me. Hence the tying it up. The rest of the outfit also just kid of happened....I put on the sequin skirt I got around Christmas (you guys remember it) which I think looks super cute in the sunlight, threw on this pressed flower necklace & the boots well.....they are the most comfortable shoes I own & support my ankles so I wear them like all the time.

Mauve Makeup Medley

There was a time that if someone described something as 'Mauve' I was instantly turned off it. It just wasn't my shade & I knew it. BOY was I missing out!
It turns out that mauve is a great shade that suites basically everyone (particularly pale people like me). Who knew? Okay, I bet a lot of people knew but I didn't. These are the products that opened my eyes to the awesome-ness of mauve.

Happy Easter. How nice was the weather this week?
I got to go out quite a bit this week, despite my wheelchair being in for repairs/diagnostics....I went out to take the outfit photos, I went to see Muppets Most Wanted & I went to the park to see the cherry blossom. Plus I have been internet stalking a skirt & my Easter present had nothing to do with Chocolate.

 Okay, so these aren't the greatest pictures. I know that. I tried something different because my normal wheelchair is in the shop being repaired & my old manual wheelchair is.....horrible. I mean it is manageable but I will never complain about my chair again. She is a true hero. My chair that is - all wheelchairs are ladies, much like ships and cars.

Review: L'Oreal Liquid Lipstick

I am not ordinarily a big liquid lipstick person...or really a gloss person. I do, however, have a soft spot for the YSL Glossy Stains that I have wanted for ages but have never gotten around to buying (£23.50 always feels like A LOT of money). So when these liquid lipsticks came out & people were saying it was a dupe...I had to try it out.
I don't know that this is a dupe for the Glossy Stains (only having tried them once) & they don't seem to stain that much (although if you saw the instagram picture of my arm after swatching you'll know that they do stain just enough to be annoying).

Review: No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter

So highlighter....obviously not a required makeup product but one the people with round, undefined face (like mine) might want to invest in. The point of highlighters is that they make the part of the face that you put it on look more prominent...so if you have rubbish cheekbones highlighter makes them noticeable, or if your nose is as flat as mine this is a lot cheaper than plastic surgery lol.

Unfortunately for my flat nose, my skin eats up highlighter. Usually highlighters have to be very strong for it to do anything for me....that is, until I bought this highlighter.
I have to admit, I did not intend to buy this highlighter. I had heard all the hype but I really didn't think it was worth even trying,

First of, thank you to Pricilla of  the blog 'wheelchair mommy' & Alexandra of Into The Woods for helping me name this look. I really struggle with that part of outfit posts - quite happy to take photos, edit them, post them etc but naming them? That's where I almost give up, everytime. Thankfully social media, & two of my all time favourite bloggers came to my rescue lol.
Anyway, I know this is my SECOND 'posh dress' outfit in as many weeks but it's starting to warm up & all the pretty dresses I got over the winter are getting their first proper outings. This dress I actually got before Christmas & had only gotten to wear inside or underneath heavy coats until now. But now...

March Beauty and Random Favourites

My monthly favourites this month are all things I ADORE. This shouldn't be called favourites it should be called something like 'monthly amaze-ball product rave'. Or not quite that but believe me...that's the gist. I'm not crazy believe me....okay, maybe a little.
The products I mention are particularly good. Plus Hart of Dixie is the BEST - not fantasy/sci-fi - TV series I've seen in basically forever. And these Kinder Chocolate with Cereal bars are INCREADIBLE....I'm not sure I could live without them anymore!
