Weekly Obsessions 1 - Steampunk & ChristmasThis is a new little feature I am thinking of running, just a round up of things I've been loving in the week. It could be anything, as I think this weeks will show - my obsessions have ranged from books to adverts & everything in between.
Gail Carriger's most recent book series, 'The Finishing School Series'.
I've been reading Ms Carriger's books since the Parasol Protectorate but these, I have to say, are possibly even better! The first two - Etiquette & Espionage & Curtsies & Conspiracies - have only been out a maximum of 9 months (the second one only a matter of days) & I have read my them so much that my kindle practically sighs when I start them again.
I've also been obsessed (with a capital O) with the M&S Christmas advert. I know people rave about the John Lewis one every year but have you guys seen the M&S one? It's magic, I was half way through it & I was honest to goodness thinking, "I have to shop at this place, where ever it is advertising they have to take my money off me." I don't know if I was super tired or if it really is that good, my responses haven't been quite as extreme any other time I've seen it but I still stop what I am doing to properly watch it (usually I watch TV whilst doing other stuff).
I actually, I think I'm going to watch it again right now....
Other than the above I've been pretty obsession free...I've been too busy helping my brother with his UCAS application (anyone else remember already having finished at this time of year?)
