Sweet Things by Annie Rigg
You might know I've been getting into sweet making & I've been loving it. I was looking for more recipes (marshmallow gets old after a while) when I stumbled across this AMAZING book in Waterstones. It is the most perfect sweet book, shabby chic fashion & classy sweets with beautiful images & great recipes all the way through.
I've done a couple of recipes so far & they've been awesome.
But, other than the recipes I have to say that I love the style. It looks beautiful but it is also written in a fun chatty way with a great personal feel. It's like you are swapping recipes with a good friend which is the way proper cook books should be.
The book is split up into six sections:
- Chocolate
- Marshmallows
- Fruit
- Toffee, Fudge & Caramels
- Nougat, Nuts & Honeycomb
- Hard Candy
Whatever, in every section there are at least three recipes my brothers have requested.
I can't really recommend it more than I have already so I am just going to include a bunch of photos of the book & the fact that my brother ate an entire batch of the chocolate truffles.
