Baracoa House of Fashion Event

On the last Friday of last month I went to Baracoa & House of Fraser's House of Fashion Event.
I don't know what I can say about this event to explain how our of my comfort zone it was & how totally worth that discomfort it was.
Even before I got ill I had never been out to the city centre at night, particularly not on a Friday night. I had never been in a club & I have haven't been to a bar since I was 17. So 6 days before my 21st birthday I was heading to my first night out to hang out with other bloggers....

Luckily bloggers are LOVELY people & the people at Baracoa made the event as easy as possible for me to enjoy (even cordoning off a space for me right at the end of the runway). Baracoa's main entrance is up a short flight of stairs but don't let that put you off because they have a fire exit round the side with flat access & are don't make you feel even the tiniest bit bad about using it. The bar is a little bit high but not above eye level which is more than I can say for a lot of checkouts. I wish I'd taken photos of the access but I was so out of it I barely remembered to take photos of the fashion! (What can I say? It was after 7 on an evening, I have not been out of the house that late in years.)

The fashion (the thing I was actually there to see) was brilliant. There was a mix of menswear & women's wear, independent designers & more well known stuff. I wish I'd taken my good camera, all I had was my phone so I ended up with these photos, which I have to say could have been better....
These were my favourite looks from the show but they had some great stuff, including swimwear & levis being worn by shirtless men lol.

They also had makeup stands but honestly I was having too much fun chatting & forgot to check them out....I am such a bad blogger *flushes*. I also had to leave before the end (a combo of exhaustion & my mum & brother were there to pick me up & my brother was not happy to wait around.

Oh yeah, & this is my 'clubbing wear, lol. I had no idea what to wear to a bar on a Friday night & this outfit would work whatever I was doing & wherever I was going. At least that was my reasoning...

Lol, another time I'm have to say hi. I was so shy I only really chatted to bloggers I already knew. Another time though ^^
