Wheelchair Fashion: Parisian Monroe

I don't know why but it feels like this year is already weeks old....I have a new hobby, I've nearly finished a roll of film & I started my 'time of the month' on the first day of the year which I'm pretty sure is a bad omen considering how long it has been since my last 'time of the month'. Is that TMI? I feel like as long as I don't start describing things in detail it's all good but I know some people get squeamish at the slightest mention of all that stuff.

These photos were actually taken today (I'm pretty sure I'm typing this on adrenaline & will power alone) & OMG it was windy!!!! I felt like any moment I was going to be whipped off to OZ. It made for some great photos though ^^ Some of my favourite ever in fact, which is a nice way to start the new year. Please forgive the crazy number of (very similar) pictures I ended up with, I just couldn't bare not to share any of these ^^

I love how vintage Parisian this outfit looks (at least in my head). The base outfit (full black skirt & white shirt with the sleeves rolled up) looks a lot like the outfit Audrey Hepburn wears in Roman Holiday but I felt like all the glitzy (but not gaudy or 'bling-y') accessories give it a kind of street-style-at-Paris-Fashion-Week feeling, down to earth high fashion (which is something I swear only Parisian truly manage to pull off).

I realised you couldn't see my shoes in any of these pictures, I'm actually wearing my gold glitter ballet pumps which you can kind of see in this picture (taken whilst huddling for warmth in a Waterstones....along with what felt like everyone else in Yorkshire ^^ It was quite an exhausting morning).

  4. Just discovered your blog. Love this outfit. Although you don't list where you bought each piece :) Looking forward to reading more posts. PS. I studied a year abroad at the University of Leeds back in 2006 :)

    1. Thank you ^^
I don't tend to list where I bought pieces because most of the things I own are OLD, this outfit is slightly more upto date so I guess I should have included it ^^
The skirt is from Modcloth, the belt is from asos, the bag is old from accessorize, the shoes are so old I can't remember where they're from & the shirt is very old from Zara. Oh & the necklace is from louche via joy.
I hope you'll enjoy my future posts ^^

  5. No lie, this is basically how I dress! My wallet is actually very similar to your clutch, as well. Love love love!

Also, this is Kit from arainbowatnight. It won't let me stay signed in to post... Have you ever considered switching to Wordpress? There are many sites to tell you how to import things over, if you wanted. WP is much less frustrating to deal with on your end (I used to have a Blogger) and it's much easier for the people trying to interact with you--email notifications of comment replies (which this doesn't have), a one-click sign up button on your website for anyone wanting new posts notifications by e-mail (which this doesn't have), and it's much easier to comment (which Blogger has always had extreme difficulty with). Just some suggestions!

    1. Wow, I bet you look amazing, this is me seriously dressed up ^^

I have been thinking about moving to wordpress but my mum can use blogger & that's getting to be more & more important as I'm getting more exhausted. I don't want to get to a point where I'm needing my mum to type posts for me & she's struggling to manage the platform I'm on you know?
I'll definitely have a look at wordpress though, if the interface is as easy to manage as it is on blogger it may be time to make the switch ^^
